"My dissertation addresses the question of how the polemical elements of the Qur’an against other religions can be interpreted differently for non-polemical interactions among different religious communities in the modern world. By “polemical elements” I mean those qur’anic verses that describe other religions negatively, which include various types of quranic criticism of Jews and Christians" (Mun’im Sirry)
