Eléments bibliographiques

Dr Gacek a étudié la philologie arabe à l’Université Jagiellonian de Cracovie en Pologne. et en bibliothéconomie à l’École polytechnique (maintenant l’Université) du nord de Londres. Par la suite, il a travaillé à l’École des études orientales et africaines (SOAS), Université de Londres, et à la préparation d’un catalogue de manuscrits arabes (publié en 1981). Au début des années 1980, il a occupé le poste de bibliothécaire à l’Institut des Etudes Ismaili, et est actuellement chef de la Bibliothèque d’études islamiques à l’Université McGill, à Montréal.
