Eléments biographiques

Jacob Barth (1851-1914) étudia au séminaire rabbinique de Berlin et les langues sémitiques à Leipzig et Strasbourg. Il fut l’élève de H. L. Fleischer and T. Noldeke. Il devint conférencier (1876) au séminaire et à l’Université of Berlin. En 1880, il est nommé außerordentlicher Professor.
